Chapaize Forest :

The communal forest of the domain of Chapaize, extends over 600 hectares but entire forest covers a much larger area.
This forest, right at your door, is a dream of a spot for easy walks and observation of animals and birds.
The birds are numerous and species varied : jays, hoopoes, green woodpeckers, buzzards, herons, owls, tits, cuckoos, swallows, nightingales and wagtails.
You need to be luckier to espy a fox or a roe deer but evidences of their existence abounds.

From your deckchair, you can see pony and white Charolais cattle.

A Roman road marches through the forest, just out of sight over the hill.
