DESCRIPTION OF THE GILDED WOOD GITE

The Locale

Ideally situated close to Tournus and its traffic hub, one must leave the main roads to follow the circuit of Roman Churches and the Vineyard trail.
From the ”col des chèvres“ looking east on clear day, the white-capped summit of “Mont Blanc” is visible, looking west is a magnificent panorama of fields, villages, vineyards.

The hamlet of Lancharre, though readily accessible, is situed awayfrom the main roads.
It nestles at the edge of the forest and at the foot of the mediaeval site of Brancion to which it is linked historically.

On arrival, you will undoubtedly be charmed by the “place du lavoir“ the square which housed the communal laundry and by the remaining arch of the Roman porch of the church and which leads, 150m further on, to the door of the former Tile Factory
and the gite of “bois doré“.

Between nature, the forest, history and architecture, the holiday that you would like to enjoy, can be found here.
Choose between calm and restful occupations, cultural activities and/or sporting pursuits.
